One of the oldest sports in the Olympic Games has one of the newest sites for honoring the world's finest athletes in gymnastics. The recently created International Gymnastics Hall of Fame continues its development in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (USA). Featuring original portraits of each inductee and a library and video collection second to none, the Hall of Fame hosts an annual formal induction ceremony each summer.

Governed by a Board of Directors made up entirely of volunteers with a wide variety of backgrounds in gymnastics and business, it is the Board of Directors that selects world famous gymnasts to be honored each year. The annual Induction Ceremony draws many visitors nationwide, as well as community leaders and gymnastics fans from other parts of the world.

Gymnastics stars from all parts of the globe are selected to be honored based on not only their competitive achievements but their continuing participation in the development of gymnastics world-wide. Outstanding contributors in the "Lifetime Achievement" category may also be honored.

The International Gymnastics Hall of Fame features a gift shop, extensive library, various pieces of sculptures and a collection of medals and awards from the past to the present. The world's most accomplished gymnastics stars are featured in art and photos from their competitive careers. Videos featuring major international events are also on display.
